Community Benefit

Community benefit means ensuring that positive social and economic outcomes have a tangible impact on people and places and is the ultimate outcome of engagement programs.

The term community benefit has evolved from the concept of social value. This was established in the public sector via the Public Services Act of 2012 which compels public bodies to consider social, economic and environmental impact when tendering for public procurement. Through measuring the social value created community benefit can be demonstrated.

This legislation has resulted in the development of methodologies to capture and measure social, economic and environmental impact. At Seerbridge our services use a combination of verified methodologies to capture the overall community benefit created through development.
